About The Bellwether District Community Investment Fund
Founded in 2025 as part of The Bellwether District’s Community Benefits Commitment, the Community Investment Fund was created to deliver meaningful, locally driven investment in the South and Southwest Philadelphia communities that neighbor The Bellwether District. Governed by a board of leaders from across South and Southwest Philadelphia, the Fund directs its resources each year toward initiatives advancing shared community priorities.
As an annual investment, the Fund will grow alongside The Bellwether District, expanding its reach to support more organizations each year who are working to improve the quality of life for residents across South and Southwest Philadelphia.
How to apply
The 2026 Bellwether District Community Investment Fund grant application will open on April 29th. Organizations located in and/or serving residents of South and Southwest Philadelphia are encouraged to apply, with priority given to initiatives focused on workforce development and job training, youth focused initiatives, environmental sustainability, and violence prevention.
